Dang Fuel Pump Died..Got 4 years out of it.

I agree, I also think that low fuel levels causing early pump death is a myth. Besides, I believe the GMT800+ trucks have a small container around the pump that is kept full of fuel to help this sort of thing. Also, don't cut out a trapdoor in the bed. Get some sawhorses and call over three...

    Buying From Rockauto

Every time I used them, the shipping was very timely, regardless of what warehouse the parts shipped from. However, unless you select parts carefully to avoid shipping from different warehouses, the shipping charges will get quite high compared to other retailers.

    2005 Yamaha Bruin

Grab a carb rebuild kit from eBay and get to work. It's a super easy job, the worst part is just removing all the crap around the carb just so you can get to it. Pics of your buddy's fourwheeler please.

    Door speaker

Agreed. Just about everyone I know of that has an '03-'06 GMT800 truck without Bose has had at least one speaker fail by now in the exact same fashion. If you want to be sure, you can swap the speakers from left to right.

    Radio swaps

There are no RCA-style or 3.5mm inputs on any of the factory GMT800 radios. That's the wrong adapter, it is for the 1995-2002 trucks. You have three options: 1) If you have the ability to select XM on your radio (you don't have to be subscribed), you can do this which will be the cheapest...

How to build an "Audio Pipe" for your ATV.

Yeah I use my Sansa MP3 player (you can see it in the pic) or my iPhone. It's held up to just about any amount of water or mud as long as it doesn't get submerged.

    GMT800: "SERVICE 4WD" message, unreponsive 2WD button

Hey Penguin, you were right all along. Apparently, bad solder joints in the switch is still an issue for the 03+ trucks. I cracked the switch open today, and all but about two of the joints had cracks.

Just a bunch of little problems that are irritating nonetheless. TPM sensor, torsion bar crossmember bushings, fuel pressure regulator, etc.

    GMT800: "SERVICE 4WD" message, unreponsive 2WD button

Okay, I started to get the Service 4WD messages frequently, so I finally replaced the encoder sensor. Easy job, but fast-foward less than a week, and I'm getting the message again. Guessing now would be a good time to try to pull codes?

PartsZoneOnline - Great alternative to GMPartsDirect

http://www.partszoneonline.com/ If you need GM (or MOPAR) parts, don't bother fucking with GMPartsDirect, try PartsZoneOnline. Bose active suspension

Agreed. However, I do like the Bose system in my Avalanche. Doesn't compare to the audio in my 95, but it's still quite good for a factory audio system in a less-than-high-end truck.

That's what happens when you run HIDs in halogen housings. I remember my HIDs looked like that, but I never realized that it was that bad until I put the stock bulbs back in.
