So,got the trans today(sooner than I expected) and the gasket kit :thumbs: test fit,looks good

Have you checked the sealing surface on the head itself? May be a little piece of metal missing :dunno:

Yes,they sure did.Just found out this happened on the first ride after purchase,AND all this happened while riding down in Mexico.

Found a trans on eBay & bought it. Honda CR85 CR80 Transmission Gears Tranny Trans Main Counter Shaft 2 1996 2007 | eBay Should get it sat. or so.... Also ordered a complete gasket set from our local Honda shop.

So far the tally is three gears & one bearing :( The shift forks(3)are OK,the pieces I thought were shift forks were actually parts of a gear.

Like my homemade crankshaft puller?:lol: Took parts from two of my pullers to make one that will pull the crankshaft & split the cases.Funny looking but it worked. Needed to attach it in three locations to get an even pull.

Yeah,I suppose,but it should keep me out of trouble.At least for a while :lol:
