Why can't All GM Vehicles Be Leak Free?

Title changed for you. Think of it as undercoating, so now you won't have to worry about brake lines rusting out.

    Would the world end...

The Superduty was a few thousand more than an identical Silverado, but it was quieter and the ride was smoother. Go test drive one if you can. I'm still blown away that the solid front diff truck rides smoother than GM's IFS.

    Would the world end...

I have about 54K miles on mine and have had it for 23 months. I still have ZERO regrets on the purchase of a Ford. Dump the DPF and install a little tuner and BAM, pure happiness. The truck will bark the tires at 70 going into 6th gear enter the freeway. That's fuckin cool I don't care who you...

    1971 C-10 "ResuWrecktion"

Stop by the swap meet yesterday on my way home, found a pair of NOS license plates from 1971. I've heard that I can register the truck with the number since its a NOS set that was never issued. If I can't it's no big deal because I still think they're cool. Posted from my iPad via...

Throwback Thursday, my wife ran across this pic and said it's dated 1993. One of the few pics of the truck that I have from back in the day. Sitting pretty in the grass in front of my shop.

    Project: 2N resurrection

Sweet tractor to start with, looking forward to seeing how it turns out. I went through a faze of tractor building myself. I was partial to the Farmall tractors so I build a Cadet, then a Super C, an H, and a Super H. When I sold my shop I had a 50 model John Deere B sitting in the shop. With...

To most this will look like just another piece of sheet metal. This is a bolt in high hump section for TH-400 and 4 speed trucks, this piece is not reproduced. It is a necessary part for laying frame and I got lucky enough to catch one on the parts board. Posted from my iPad via Tapatalk HD.

I'll start working on the filler piece, in grey, tomorrow. It will give the passenger side firewall a similar shape as the drivers side. Posted from my iPad via Tapatalk HD.

    1971 C-10 "ResuWrecktion"

Lot of welding and a lot more grinding today. Got the blower hole block off plate welded in. Patched a few really thin spots and a couple of rust holes. I was spending a ton of time trying to grind it back down smooth then realized it would all be covered. So I knocked down the worst of it and...

    1971 C-10 "ResuWrecktion"

Doctors appointments out of the way, now setup my "compound" for a weekend of working on this heap. Lol Ran a temporary 30 amp circuit out back, had a spool of 10-2 Romex and grabbed a new breaker at Home Depot. Crawled around the attic this morning and got it all wired up. Yes my neck is still...

Been checking the parts boards and ran across a set of NOS rocker panels, paid a premium but I feel they were worth it in quality. Posted from my iPad via Tapatalk HD.

Looking for an auto temp switch for an electric fan

You probably have a plug on your intake or side of a head that would give you access to the coolant. I have installed and run similar switches to this one on the link before, use a relay to handle the load of the fan and use the temp switch to trigger the relay. Probably the simplest and safest...

Looks like a solid builder, not many of them left that don't have rust in the same areas as yours. Keep us posted, there's a bunch of us here that love that body style.

P0449-How To Replace Evap. Vent Solenoid

With the PV485 you will not need the filter, so you are correct in thought process. The PV485 has an integral filter that's why you don't see two places for hoses. You're looking good.

    1971 C-10 "ResuWrecktion"

Well I made a little progress this weekend. Spent Friday getting an MRI so we can try and get my back fixed up. :crybaby: I got my 25 year old Snap-On mig drug out to the backyard and had intentions of using my generator to power it. Well that didn't go so well, I'm trying to spot weld panels...
