Dumped a metric shit-ton of money today and bought an entire Porterbuilt suspension for the truck. Should ship sometime in April, but the Baer brake kits I will pickup from the vendor at our show in a couple of weeks. Also grabbed a bolt on body drop kit, it only lowers the body 3/4" but every...
Looks awesome Nick, are you still in the Port Arthur area? I transferred to Beaumont in the spring might have to come see that thing in person one day.

My wife asked tonight, " you got a box in the mail yesterday, what did you order?" I wasn't thinking about the cookies so I told her to open it.
She says, there's cookies in here, oh I mean it's just truck parts. No cookies
Looks like I may have to order some more in a few weeks...
Not a problem, I hope she makes her goal this year. I buy them every year but my daughter hasn't been in GS for a couple of years now so I usually stop at the first table full of kids and buy a bunch. Glad I was able to purchase from the 'puter.
No, he didn't have a headliner in his '67. I may or may not install one on mine. Kind of on the fence about it. I've had several and installed several but all the pieces I had years ago for this one never got installed. When I sold the shop I dumped all of it, so that's where I stand. :dunno:
Does the 2003 use the same chassis (frame) as the 2008?
If so, I would remove the 4.2 engine and drivetrain and start comparing the 2008 stuff. Chances are the items you will need for mounting the v-8 in the 2003 chassis will already be on the chassis of the 2008.
I've never done what you're...
Well I'm still stuck in South Carolina but I haven't stopped thinking about the truck. A friend of mine was in an accident a few months ago and totaled his '67. He finally got things squared away with the insurance company and bought the truck back.
I asked about his interior and we talked for...
Been stuck in Charleston since the end of November. Finally had some free time to do something fun, caught the Monster Jam event.
I haven't actually been to a monster truck event in over 25 years, man what a fun time seeing the trucks and just hearing the motors rattle the building. :thumbs...
It should be a very similar, if not exact, repair for an 07. I know there is a ton of replies in this thread but a lot of people have added to it and a Yukon may have been covered. Take some time and read through, hope it helps you.

Alright, so my plan for the truck has been shifting due to time and parts being on back order. So I dedided to just tear the MF'er apart and start from the ground up. I just can't do the welding in the backyard with the wind blowing my shielding gas away so I need to get the cab into the garage...
Haha, got the cab dolly built and set the cab on it. Did a little test pull with the lawnmower, about pissed my pants laughing at how redneckified the whole deal looks. But I don't care, it works and when I get back from the shipyard I will tow it from the backyard into the garage so I can start...
The 80 has the solid front axle right?
It will be a similar build as this one here http://www.truckmodcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11732http://http://www.truckmodcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11732
