Thanks Jim, I'm just doing my homework at this point. Don't know how much the guy wants or anything. I like the looks of the truck so that's what has me drooling over it.
But I'm not going to waste the guys time asking about it until after I get the 06 fixed. Ultimately I would like to sell the...
Thanks guys, yeah I know it will eat gas. But I'm not looking for a Prius. :D
Just wondered if there where any inherent problems with that year engine. I had a 98 3500 but it had a 350, and ate gas. Had a '01 8.1, and it ate gas.
I have my eye on something and wanted to see if anybody could give input, good or bad, about the 1999 Chevrolet 454 engine.
It's in a dually with an automatic, I don't know the miles yet since I'm just creepin on this deal. :uhoh:

Dietz, you'd be happy to know that the Ford is still Strokin and...
God I hope it doesn't take that long to fix! I'll get the parts tomorrow but have a family function all day. Maybe assemble the heads Saturday night or Sunday. Realistically I should be close to finishing next weekend.

After a year of being broke down, I finally pulled my 2006 Silverado into my own garage and started to take it apart to fix.
A little ancient history: November 2012, developed a misfire on cylinder #6. A little investigating and found low compression in that cylinder compared with others.
This...
Absolutely zero in the change status! Still on 7 cylinders, I really ain't in a hurry and I don't have time to do it myself. Such is life!
