Thanks guys, yeah I know it will eat gas. But I'm not looking for a Prius. :D Just wondered if there where any inherent problems with that year engine. I had a 98 3500 but it had a 350, and ate gas. Had a '01 8.1, and it ate gas.

I have my eye on something and wanted to see if anybody could give input, good or bad, about the 1999 Chevrolet 454 engine. It's in a dually with an automatic, I don't know the miles yet since I'm just creepin on this deal. :uhoh:

I have had 2 Bak Flip G2's on my last couple of trucks and love them. When I need a full bed, remove two wing nuts and lift the thing off out of the way. Sits flush and I like the latch system especially with a locking tailgate.
