I'll just roll on the spare for a few weeks until I can get a new tire. I've been through my share of used tires back in the day and had several blowouts. Fwonk used tires. I'll buy new before I buy used. Plus I want all my tires to match.
The spare has plenty of tread, but it has spider...
I know I need a new tire. That's a given. But I was wondering if I could at least get a little more use out of this tire. I a poor sonofabitch and can't afford another tire at the moment. Just debating on whether I should even bother trying to patch this one, or just roll the spare for a few...
I woke up this morning and my tire was flat as a pancake.
After removing it to install the spare (which is a severe pita to remove from under the truck BTW)
I noticed that it has not one but two nails in it. One nail in the tread, and one in the sidewall.
No shop will repair a hole in the...
I have seen a few silver vehicles with maroon/burgundy interior as well. Seems like neutral colors like black, white, gray, or silver would be the only choice besides some shade of red or burgundy on the truck. :dunno
Its not my style, but a lot of guys on other forums powdercoat their lift kit and various other suspension parts all a vibrant color. For instance, Umberto had a lot of his suspension parts powder coated a copper color.
I have never used the waterless wash. But I have used the Detail spray as a waterless wash when my truck was just dusty or got pollen on it. That stuff works AWESOME, but its not exactly cheap.
I use the Adam's All purpose cleaner more than anything. I buy gallons of that stuff. My wife uses...
Like he said, check all electrical connections first to verify that power is getting to the wiper motor.
But in the meantime until you get it fixed, Rain-X is your friend.
I don't have access to a pressure gauge. And I didn't see him test it. He said he had a buddy test it earlier in the day before I went over there. I just went by the numbers he told me.
That combined with the fact that it would start and run for a few seconds with starting fluid, leads us both...
He also said he had a guy check the fuel pressure with a gauge. It only had about 10-12 lbs. of pressure when the key was turned on. But it climbed to about 40-50 during cranking.
I am leaning towards the fuel pump. So is he, he bought a pump today.
It fired up for a few seconds when starting fluid was sprayed in the throttle body while cranking.
The guy just replaced the cap and rotor, ignition coil, plugs and wires all in the past week AFTER it stopped running.
A friend of my wife has a 97 suburban. Her husband claims its not getting fire. He claims the spark plugs, wires and fuel filter have all recently been changed. Its turning over but will not actually start and run. My wife volunteered me to go look at it for them. :face palm: Of course she...
I think it looks better without it.
I too used to have a bug guard. But after noticing a small crack in the corner I removed it and have never replaced it. I like my truck better without it, however I miss the fact that it actually kept bugs off the hood during long road trips. But I still got...
Depends on several factors. Driving style, the streets its driven on, has the vehicle hit anything such as a curb or pothole? Sometimes alignments are required fairly often. I know due to the streets in New Orleans, most vehicles there need an alignment every 2-3 years. I bought my Suburban in...
I bought my Suburban in January 2006 with 52k miles on it. Has just over 120k miles on it now. But it was parked for a little over a year back in 2008 when gas was well over 4.25 a gallon. I had a shitbox Honda Civic that I used as a DD except during hunting season. I still don't put many...
