Thanks ...
Still working on it ..
Close to having the panel on ..
Wiring and throttle cable soon to happen ..
The exhaust might have to be farmed out to a muffler shop ?
Need to have a special made pipe to get around the trailer's frame ..
This end is done ... Yippee !!
Waiting for the control panel to show up ..
Going to make it removeable so I can get a motor in and out of the stand easily ..
Lets see if it'll hold pressure ?
Well Poo ..
Bottom tank has a crack ln it ..
Trip to a radiator shop is now on the menu ...
Run stand is going together right nice it is ...
Moving the radiator back 10" gave enough room to mount the gas tank ..
Headers & control panel is in route ..
Along with the throttle control ..
More Junkyard scouting came up with a better tach and a panel ..
Tach hole is the right size, not so for the Auto Meter gauges ...
Okay ... Ordered a panel that's made for a run stand ..
Not yet ..
Was testing out a used electric fuel pump .. Had it mounted to the stand .. Worked for about 20 seconds and it started to sing a Bob Dylan song ...
"Ain't going to work on Maggie's farm No-Mo"
Got a new cheapie ele. pump on the way ..
In the mode of getting the run stand on line...
Golly, this has been a chore !
Sourcing used parts to build the stand is going well ..
Tomorrow will be picking up some Flow Master mufflers ...
Changing gauges, found some AutoMeter's ..
Major oil control ... !
The plate under the oil pump stops oil from climbing up the back of the oil pan under hard acceleration ..
Reason for these oil control parts is the boat motor oil pan not having much baffling ...
Been busy ...
This was a chore to do, and most likely was overkill cause it adds a few ponies at high rpm's which this motor will rarely see ..
Dialed in the cam endplay ..
I was shooting for .005" ..
Got really close to the target ..
Gear drive is setting up well ...
The antique emblem came in ..
Did some painting on it just to see how bad the chrome will look ..
Going to paint the overdrive letters orange once the black paint cures up ..
Liking it much better than this one that I was thinking about using ..
The owner of the 496" motor is getting somewhat trick with his choice of parts ..
Pulleys made by 'March' are super nice ..
( If my truck wasn't going to see off-road action I'd be running a set of those Bad-Boys )

Speaking of where this Stroker motor will have...
I was wanting to have a badge on the tailgate ...
Thought about doing a chrome 4X4 since the truck is four wheel drive ..
Already have emblems on the hood that says four wheel drive from a 49 Jeep pickup truck, didn't feel the need for another 4X4 emblem ..
Recently was watching a Jay Leno...
More parts for my motor should show up today ..
Chipping away at it, don't have all the needed parts here just yet ..
Some are very expensive and requires saving up for over a few months .
Could speed up the motor build greatly by low-balling my parts choice ..
Do believe I'm overkilling this a...
