A couple weeks ago. With 2 company cars and the Jeep, it would be weeks/months between getting driven so I decided it was time for it to go. I'm replacing it with a Cobalt boat in the next few months once I get the slip and lift taken care of.
I couldn't agree more. Assuming you get the overheating issue fixed, there will be a host of other problems that will pop up.
I love Land Rovers. But I would only own one if it was under the factory warranty and if there was a dealer within 10 miles of me.
Yes, the 3.8 was/is a dog but the 3.6 (2012 & newer) is pretty stout...the gearing is important. I'm curious as to what gears the one had that you test drove. With stock Rubicon gears (4.10), my Jeep is quicker than my heavy ass Sierra with the 5.3. The most common is 3.21. 3.73 are optional on...
Below is a pic of the '14 Unlimited Rubicon I ordered a few months ago for a weekend toy. Here is my 2 cents:
Price - They sell for sticker all day long. The best you can do is 3-5% under invoice. With some shopping, you can get that whether you buy off the lot or order. I custom ordered mine...
No crap. Don't get me started on the $75k Z/28.
Exactly. I'm sure I've said it before but the new Corvette is the first generation that I would actually consider buying. The design is awesome and the interior isn't stuck in the 90's anymore. It's a home run IMO.
I'm glad to see the '06 getting a little love.
That has been one of my favorite trucks for a long time. It would look pretty sitting in my garage.
Damn dude....did you really just draw a comparison between a Porsche and Camaro? :uhoh:
A Cayman S starts at ~$64K. And there is a hell of a lot more to the driving experience of that car than a Camaro can dream of. They are in two completely different classes.
All that said, I do like...
Ha. It's funny how things change and a lot has changed since that post in '09. We did end up building a house but it is on different land in a different state. And I haven't wanted a Camaro in years now.
I guess I should update the list:
Before getting married:
1990 Honda Accord...
You know...I didn't even think of looking at those. Back in the day when I thought I had to upgrade the stereo in everything I owned, MB Quart was my go to for my highs. I'll dig around and see what they have going on these days.
Thanks Jim!
Hmmm....I really want a marine grade speaker so that limits my selection a bit. I might have to splurge for the mm6501 instead. Either way I'll be going with components & utilizing a crossover. I'll be pushing them with a fair amount of power but I really don't need much bass out of them. I just...
Yo Tobias -
I'm upgrading the stereo in the Wrangler so I'm curious to see how you like those Polk speakers since you've had them a few months now. The component version (db 6501) is on my short list.
I'm just throwing this one out there too (never thought I would have a vehicle where I would be looking at XDs). I actually forgot about it. This one has 37s though.
Hater
I tend to agree but I really, really like the look of it. :D I have no intentions of being a hard core rock crawler though.
I'm actually OK to run them around here but that is definitely a consideration.
I've done quite a bit of research on them. I agree there are more cons than...
Believe it or not, my first choice was Copperhead Pearl which is kind of a dark orangeish color. My wife picked the gray. :D2
I really like the stock wheels as well. However, I want to put bigger tires & a 2.5" lift on it. Due to the backspace of the factory wheels, I have to run wheel spacers...
