Not for the 6L90.

I looked for one, as I was going to replace the original pan with it. The ones I found weren't cheap, so I said screw it. My '01 had a drain plug.

I will say that I think it's bullshit that there's not a drain plug on the pan. :mad:

So far so good. I just did this yesterday and probably drove it about 25 miles. It seems to be shifting fine. I guess time will tell whether I should have done that or not.

I did a tranny pan drop and replaced the filter, gasket and added some fluid. To my surprise, the pan wasn't all sludged up. It wiped clean with no problem. Now I need to get the oil changed, but I want to run a bottle of Amsoil PI through it first.

The sound was hard to describe. Kind of like a mix of rumbling, grinding and howling. I never in a million years would have thought it was a shock. A buddy of mine told me that's what he thought it was after driving it. I should have had him drive it in the first place. I could have saved a few...

I believe so. It wound up being that damn shock. :nono:

Though I shouldn't have to worry about those parts for awhile, doing all this was actually chasing down an annoying noise.

In the last two weeks I've replaced the front sway bar bushings and end links, both front wheel hub assemblies, front brake pads and calipers and had the front rotors resurfaced. Yesterday I replaced both front shocks due to one of them was leaking. I just replaced all 4 shocks last year with...

Weather permitting...I plan on putting new hub bearings, sway bar bushings, and sway bar end links on the front of the truck this weekend.

I got 15.7 on my last tank, but have been averaging around 13.5.

$3.15 to $3.29 near me.
