Leave the muffler you've got on there, either lose the cats or go with high flows and if you still don't like it get headers. Straight piping while you still have cats is like farting through a straw, yeah it's loud but it just doesn't have that thunderous butt cheek flapping sound that we all...
Like the others, learned on and mostly driven stick. Right for gas and brakes, even if for some reason I need gas and brakes I brake with the heel and hit the gas with the toes left foot stays planted.
Depends on the pump, on the ones that don't shut off at $75 I fill it up, if it shuts off it's not worth my time to fire it up again so I leave it at $75.
2 things, 1 they redesigned the V10 to fix the spark plug issue in 05. #2 if you find a truck older than 05 with a V10 that hasn't had an issue yet with the spark plugs you can pretty safely bank on the fact that it won't develop an issue now.
The one in the picture is actually the last 6.0 E series in our fleet, if that thing turns a wheel the entire county is having a real bad day. Our 2 main ambulances now are 6.4's.
If you can find one in your price range Subaru's are unbeatable here in snow country. Base model Imprezza's start at 17 brand new so you shouldn't be too far off on a couple year old model. With that said I'd recommend looking south for one where people don't realize how good they are, up here...
You don't have to drill a hole. Crawl under the cab of your truck and look, you should have a few little plug's under there that look like this.
That one is pretty much directly under the drivers seat on my 97 extended cab. Pop that little plug out of there and you will be in the truck under...
My friends never ask but they know the code to the garage and the keys are in it. If I tell someone the garage code it means I trust them to use the truck or tools or whatever just return them where you found them and let me know if you do so I'm not looking for it. For the truck they check...
1.50/per for sockets isn't really a rip off but the only ones on the list that I would have bought are the SK's. Some of those sockets though would be less than 1.50/per if you bought them in a set brand new.
That US General box is actually quite good, most reports that I read speculate that it's made in the same plant as newer craftsman boxes (craftsman doesn't make boxes in the US anymore) and it's almost an identical build. That said it's the same level as a craftsman, a craftsman will not last as...
Nice score daddy. I have an 89 waverunner same colors in my garage that my parents have owned since new. I have never had to do anything other than charge the battery and go. Did plugs and filters once because I was bored and felt like I should but it ran fine without changing them. These old...
I know Dodge has a bad wrap on transmissions but the only truck I've ever owned or driven that seemed perfect from the factory was my 08 Ram with a 5 speed. It's got that one extra gear that everyone with a 4 speed wants and doesn't spend the time searching like a 6 speed.
Plates are registered to the person here. I typically transfer to the new vehicle, had the same plate on 5 vehicles now. Ones I'm not using go on the wall in the garage.
The RCSB really isn't doing it for me but I had to go clean up after I saw that matte black one. The only matte paint jobs I have experience with are Harleys but they hardly scratch at all and no swirl marks, just wash with dawn dish soap and you're good to go.
Dodges and Fords don't look nearly as bad as Chevy's with a body lift. They're still pointless especially on a straight axle like you said but they don't sit as far above the frame stock so with a lift they show about as much frame as a stock chevy.
We have hail sales all the time. They will either repair it for you or cut you a check for the cost of the repair when you buy it.
Glad it turned out ok Brian. I didn't think you guys got hail down there.
Gas weighs roughly 6lbs/gallon a full tank for most trucks is 130-180lbs. Yes the gas tank is usually on the drivers side but between the frame rails with support from both sides I highly doubt it puts enough weight on the drivers side to cause a noticeable lean.
I was just going to ask if you wanted another analog to match the look or if you were looking at digital. If you're not dead set on the analog gauge I recommend the aeroforce interceptor scan gauge. It can monitor pretty much any parameter that your computer reads including the trans temp on...
