Well, didn't try to fire it up yet ..
Been having starter issues, that's been cured ..
Tomorrow might be the day ?

You betya !

Got the right side exhaust off of it at the moment cause of the starter support bracket that bolts onto the motor block needing 5/16" x 18 in the block, what it has is 1/2" x 20 ..

I'm making up a insert to reduce the hole to what's needed ...

Photo above is my 500 ci BBC motor .. Had to do the same insert on it ..
Both blocks are the last year of the Mark IV's (1990)

Did fire up the 496" motor for about 30 seconds, got 60 psi of oil pressure ...
Will get the exhaust on it after the starter work is done and over ..

Sure did sound healthy and extremely loud !!

Fried up the 496", sounded really good then it stopped running ..
Dist. took a crap, no spark !!

This has been a problem from day one, sent it to the manufacturer and had it rebuilt .. Bout $550 for them to redo it ..
Worked for 5 minutes ... I'm done with it !

The boys ripped me off ..

Damn, that's a lot for a distributor. Are you running fuel injection? Is it computer controlled?
