Okay....by bad....your weren't yanking my chain......LOL. Thanks for info. JOEGMC sent me a link that explained the ribbon wire to the airbag. Now just gotta figure out if it's worth the time and money to go in there and relocate wire so it doesn't rub.

Thanks Joe. No problems with the electrical part and I know airbag has never been deployed or replaced but the sound would be consistent with a flat wiring harness (ribbon) rubbing when steering wheel is turn. Now to decide if it worth trying to remove wheel and fix. Wouldn't want to screw it up...

This is definitely not clunking or rattling but Rubbing is a better description rather than squeaking. Anyone else have any suggestions?

The grand-daughter's 2008 Pontiac G6 we bought about a month ago has developed maybe not so much a squeak but more of a rubbing sound when you turn at slow speeds. Sounds like plastic or rubber....like the coating on the steering wheel is rubbing. This 100% not a steering shaft or link problem...

I check on Google as well and found conflicting answers. Of course on stated to hold unlock button on door down and other said hold lock button down on door to start the process so obviously one is wrong.....or worse....they are both wrong.

Purchased the grand-daughter a 2008 Pontiac G6 and have some issues with the door remotes. Car also has remote start as well. I replaced the battery and cleaned but still have problems with the Door Lock Button. Unlock Door Button and Truck Unlock Button works perfect as well does the Remote...

Well guys.....ended up buying a one owner 2008 Pontiac G6 with the 3.5L V6 and loaded out. She will be a happy camper come the 19th of this month. Have one issue with door remote and I am going to start a new thread on that in just a few minutes. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions.

That's was my original thinking but haven't found anything yet. Problem is trying to find something in a 4-door but still looks sporty for a 16 yr old girl. (like a Camry or even like the the Pontiac G6 we were also looking at.) I guess just have enough choices here in Longview. Only car dealers...

Wish I knew for sure but seems price is way high so guess I pass on the Saturn. Also looking at 2008 Pontiac G6 with 88,000 miles. Has V6 so should have timing chain and have another 30-40,000 miles left before changing.

Damn! I forget about these new cars with timing belts instead of chains. Wants way more than $7500. Actually $9900. Thought I could get them down but haven't budged yet. Also looking at an 2008 Pontiac G6 with the 3.5L V-6 and 88,000 miles. Does the V-6 require timing belt at 100K?
