I'll tell you, once you get into tuning, you'll want nothing to do with the 'minor' part. its a blast and somewhat addicting, tweaking and changing the tune to get it just how you want. the 411, efilive and learning to tune was the best thing I ever did to my truck hands down. it just opens up...

yeah, the marine is a good thing. the guy you're talking about is Pecos. he was making a kit for swapping to the marine, unfortunately he had some issues come up and he hasn't been around much, I was the last person to get some of the kit parts from him, but something pretty severe happen...

I've seen that post. those charts are actually pretty old, and I don't really even know their origin. the problems with air fitlers are the same as the oil filters. lots of marketing hype to wade through from every manufacturer and find whats actually going on.

thanks guys. yeah the distributorless coil near plug stuff is over there. my engine is a L31 vortec 350, but I've changed it to run the 8 LS2 coils, I've also replaced the 'spider' CSFI, with a real MPFI running external injectors (kinda like an LSx gen III), I run it with a 2002 LS1B...

thanks Jim I actually don't mind if people have concerns about the study, in my field of work your research has to go through alot of scrutiny, but what bugs me are those guys that sit around bitching about stuff on the internet but never do anything. ah well.
