I'm recieving a promotion at work with some extra perks. One of the perks is that I get a company vehicle (Ford Escape :uhoh:) fully paid by the company (gas, maintenance, car washes, etc).

So now I'm asking myself if it really makes sense to keep a new Sierra Denali that I won't be driving much. I bought it right so I could make a few bucks on it.

If I sell the truck, I may eventually replace it with a more fun garage queen (BMW 135is or 335is).

Thoughts?

Keep the truck.....unless it puts a financial burden on you, then dump it and don't buy anything else.

I hear they ban people for getting rid of Denalis... :uhoh: :jester:

Seriously, though, if you don't want or have a need for the truck, why keep it? :dunno:

Its paid for so no payments but its not as fun as a little car would be. :D

This is my dilemma. I'm looking for someone to give me a very compelling and convincing reason to keep it b/c I'm leaning towards selling it.

Its not like the truck will ever be a collectors item.

Keep it and buy a boat so you have the need for it. :D2

Or, sell it and buy an M3 or a ZL-1. Go fast or go home.

I'd love to have a boat but my buddy's have boats that are more expensive than one I could ever justify buying so I'll hit the water with them. I always buy the gas when I go out with them. Its much cheaper that way.

I do want a M3 or ZL-1. If I go that route, I'll wait until Spring make that move.

Well, I was probably the wrong person to comment in this thread, then.

That was part of my issue with mine. Lots of horsepower, but not real usable (i.e. "fun") HP most of the time.. Too much traffic, not good in curves, etc, etc..

From what I remember if your threads, I don't remember ever seeing you haul much or tow much of anything..?

Unless you want to lower it, add a supercharger, etc., I can't think of a compelling "fun" reason to keep it.. Even then, though, it'll never be the same type of fun as a smaller car that can zip in and out of traffic.. I had some thoughts along those lines with mine, but I kept coming back to "yeah, but it'd still be a big, heavy truck." :dunno:

Well, there you go. Sell the Denali and then, next Spring, pick up a gently-used M3 or ZL-1 with 10K knocked off the top.

The X5 has you covered here. :p
