Hi guys, havent been around for awhile, i've been so busy with life these days, mostly work, then the rest goes to my gf lol.

But because i have been working so much, i've saved up enough for a downpayment on a house, great right!!? Except for one small problem so far... Nothing i've found, has parking for a 20 foot long truck...

I've looked at so many places, many places me and her have loved and are perfect except for the parking of a truck... Now for me, im looking at townhomes, single family homes are just too expensive to buy here. A nice single family home is in the mid 400 range and i just cant afford that. Even the townhomes im looking to buy are in the high 300's to low 4's, stretching my budget but STILL no parking for a big truck.

My realtor and even my girlfriend has started to hint that maybe i should sell my baby and get something smaller... I'm just not ready to do that, im going to keep looking until ive seen every damn place for sale. But there is a chance that i might have to part ways with my ram and get a more suitable vehicle if i want to buy a place. And where i live? NOW is the time to buy, house prices dropping, a ton of places on the market and interest rates at an all time low. Also a ton of tax benefits to go along with it, you just cant find a better time to buy where i am, and i be stupid not to buy if i can.

I'm just in debate on what i should do... Some say selling the truck to buy a place will have me resenting the house. But the flip side as my friend pointed out last night, if i have to keep giving up all these places, i will grow to resent the truck as well..

I dont NEED a truck per say, especially buying a townhome, yard work etc is already done for me, but its come in handy and i just love trucks, i love V8's, i love the size and yea...

It's a sad to to even be considering this since its my first new vehicle ive owned and by far my favorite...

LOL, that made me burst out laughing. No no, i love my gf and they do have a point, how much am i willing to give up to keep a truck that i dont really NEED?...

Trust me, im going everything in my power and holding out as long as i can to find some place that fits this truck, not going down without a fight!

Also, gf in question to get rid of:

Load the gf up and head south of the border.:D

You are young, there will be plenty of trucks later on. Get a house.

I have a great job, no moving for me. I could move around Canada for my job, but both of our families all live around this general area... I dont really wanna move further outa town, my gas bill is already $350+ as it is. Canadian gas prices FTL :fume:

It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!
No good options. I know you're in Canada so maybe things are different, but why can't you just park the truck in the driveway of your townhome?

Simple answer, 90% dont have one and the 10% that do so far, arent long enough, truck would stick out in the lane.
