Drove it back home from Carrolton, TX. Got a shit tons of bug guts on it in the process.
But I also got a chance to refuel and calculate my highway mileage. In the last 379 miles I averaged 15.2 mpg. This was also the first time I have checked my highway fuel mileage since I added the electric cooling fans, so I am not sure how much that contributed to that mpg average.

Why buy new when you can restore?
Got the fuel pump changed on my GF's Cavalier. Was easier than I thought it would be. Took 3hrs, but spent 45min trying to find a plug to plug the filler neck inlet on the tank so that when we dropped it it wouldn't spill all over. Had about 6-7gal in it at the time. Now the car runs again!!

Dropped it off at the mechanic so he can get to it first thing tomorrow morning. He is going to be tackling the dreaded spark plug change tomorrow
