I have seen guys rip the paint off when taking off their stuck on molding. It's unfortunate but shit happens.

Mine had 4 plastic buttons holding in place. I popped them with a long screwdriver.

Outside Even the paint that still stuck looks like a crappy paint job but Im sure the cold didn't help any
