The 3.0 is a stout little motor that will run forever, but it might not get great mileage. I had a 98 B3000 reg cab 4x4 with a 5 speed, and I almost never got above 20 mpg out of it.

For the type of driving that I do, which is mostly on the property doing service calls, it will get a lot better fuel mileage that Ram could dream of.
