So my girlfriend totalled her Yukon this past Friday night and she's looking for a car. This is going to be a fairly new car as it will be her DD and she will be commuting 25~ miles to and from school at the beginning of the year. She's going to look Wednesday and I will keep this thread updated as the search goes on. What would you guys suggest she look at? She has no idea what she wants so I'm assuming she'll know by wednesday but who knows

Sad about the Yukon. My dad just totaled his tahoe last week.

Is she looking for the same type of SUV or something different.

She's looking for a new car. The Yukon didn't get good gas mileage so she wants a car with good MPG. I'd love for her to get a new SUV but she can't afford it right now.

She has mentioned a Nissan Altima and a Mustang. Although a Mustang would be badass I don't think she'll get one because of insurance. She did mention her grandma is a member of a credit union so might go that route.

My brother got a new Malibu for his wife and they get like 30-34 mpg's on the highway.

We just bought my wife a pontiac g6 gt and I can honestly say, the car is awesome. It runs and drives smooth and still had a somewhat sporty feeling. Gets great mpg's and had the power to get up and go. We got the fully loaded options also.
