I still say at least test drive the Optima turbo. That 10 year 100k warranty doesnt sound bad either. Even though I'm sure you guys will trade it in before that.

I like the direction of Kia's styling a lot. The problem I currently have with buying a Kia is resale value. If you trade often, that can bite you in the wallet. If you keep a car for 4 or 5 years, initial resale is not a biggie.

You can keep it as your daily driver after Emily is done with it boss.

WRX STi seems to be the most reasonable alternative as far as "grandkids-friendly" sports car goes.
