Man, I really hope it's not your TT but if it is, find a Tahoe in your local junk yard and grab it's rear-end and you should be good to crush for years to come.![]()
You and your funnies...

Although I should do a 14bolt swap.

If the rear is going to be taken apart, this would probably be a good time to swap out the 4.88 gears for some 4.56's, the 4.88's are just too tall for me, especially on the highway. I think the warranty on the TruTrac is long gone time wise, not mileage wise which sucks.

SHort tall, I thought the correct terminology as 'tall'If the rear is going to be taken apart, this would probably be a good time to swap out the 4.88 gears for some 4.56's, the 4.88's are just too tall for me, especially on the highway. You mean the 4.88's are too short? You don't like how many RPM's you're pulling on the highway?
Just put loctite red on all the bolts PRIOR to installing it.Damn Umberto! I was planning on someday having a TrueTrac in both my trucks.
You might have to bite the bullet on this one and spend money on a new TT....but I'd go with a 14-bolt SF while you're at it!![]()
