Put a new muffler on it........sounds GREAT! 
Went with a 24" body 3" in/out glasspack with a filler pipe in place of the factory muffler, leaving the stock resonator in place. Not real loud, but has a good low tone which is very aggressive on acceleration, but pretty quite at idle and highway speeds with NO drone at all!

I hate drone too, and that was one of my biggest concerns with swapping mufflers. So far, so good. In previous experiences, glasspacks have gotten louder over time, so I guess I will see what a few months brings.

3 years is a long time for it to settle in, I think!
