Ok...after a LOOOOOONNNNNG day car shopping here's the rundown. Head out to Steve Bailey to look at an orange Element. They would not come off the price and wanted 7000 on top of our accord. Wasn't happening. Not to mention the car had a couple body issues that irked me, had 20,000 miles more, and it didn't feel like the one.

After that headed to Eskridge to look at the black Element that my wife checked out yesterday. it was pretty nasty since it was a recent trade in but had too many miles so it was out of the picture. the salesman was a great guy and asked us what we were looking for specifically and said he'd look around. Whatever I say, at least 10 salesmen have our number so my phone will ring for a month now.

Head down to the mile of cars in Norman and test drive a Nitro. Unimpressed. Move on to a Hyundai dealership when we saw an Element there.

At the Hyundai dealership we test drove an Element SC. Considerably out of the price range I wanted to spend, but checked it out anyways. They wanted 8000 on top of the Accord, but the trade in price was there. Decided against it and as we were leaving got a call from the salesman at Eskridge proclaiming he had the one. Saw a pretty slick 3500HD while we were there.

Head to Eskridge and meet the salesman and the car had just been traded in by the only owner. The man and his wife were cleaning there car out when we got there. Religious maintenance, flawless body, and clean interior. Not to mention same year and only about 5000 miles more than the Accord. Ended up spending $2100 but I feel pretty good about it and the wife is very pleased. We pick it up Monday after its serviced and cleaned.

Pics!

Congrats! Nice color too.

Also, not sure what took so long...I mean it's OKC, not a big city or anything.

Thanks guys, I think the thing that took the longest was prying the salesmens hands off the car doors as we were driving off the lots. My wife would build them up like they were getting a sale and I would let them down hard. :tmc:
