Enjoy the ride Dan,them things look like a blast to drive  I'll bet in the back of your mind you're thinking turbo :jester::thumbs:
No extra power for a while, this thing just plain doesn't need it.
Nice. :)

Where in Va was it located? Sounds like you were close to NC
It was on the little peninsula that sticks down from the Eastern Shore of MD (Parksley, VA).
Congrats, man! That thing looks nice! Are you going to pick up some wheels for it?

Great find on the hardtop! Seems like it was a good buy.
Wheels are going to stay, my buddy has another set of daisies in his basement, I might buy those for like $75 and paint them some color, but I don't know yet. A lot depends on what kind of job I get this summer.
Congrats Dan:thumbs: Those are nice fun little cars, I understand...but I just don't fit in them, so I've never driven one...but I heard. You plan Auto X-ing it?
Autocross will probably happen once I actually learn to drive. I've known how to drive a stick for years (drove lots of tractors and little vehicles at work), but never really driven a car on the street for any length of time.
Nice find! Glad you're not selling the truck! :D

So what are your plans for it? Just drive it?
Plans are to get it back to good as condition mechanically as I can, maybe make some small suspension improvements (no ride height changes yet though), and drive the hell out of it.
The next pic of Dan's truck we'll get to see...

 The truck will still get its turn, and will still be going to the track, but won't be forgotten. I've got some serious rust repairs to do this summer, and the Miata gives me the opportunity to have the truck down for and extended period of time.
That's what I was thinking. I doubt the seats would go back far enough for me to sit comfortably. Congrats.
Well, I'm 5'10" with long legs, need to have my legs stretched out because of my knee, and I don't have the seat anywhere near all the way back. There's no back seat, so there's plenty of room in the front.
You HAVE to bring it to E-town in April!
I already have the truck registered, but I just may try... :D2
I guess I'm just one of those guys that's stuck.

I heard they have a special on Elton John cassettes at Walmart.
Elton John is the shit, not even kidding. The cassette player doesn't work, though. :(
He better be driving this thing right now.

I was catching up on some must-needed sleep, but I will be shortly.

Then I gotta go back up to school at 2:00 and study my ass of for a Dynamics midterm. :(

Way to go Dan. Those who want to poke fun at the Miata as a gay car sure haven't spent time behind the wheel of one. It's one of the most fun and well balanced vehicles I have ever owned. We have owned several and every one was a total blast.

Adjusting those light covers to line up with the hood is easy. Just open the hood and pull up on the back of the light housing, bending it a tad to make it line up. Most of the time they are pushed down by some idiot sitting on the car.

You got a great deal. Those hardtops bring a grand here.

They fix up nice too! Here is my 96.

Jim, it's actually the hood that sits too high, not the headlight sitting too low. I think the passenger side hinge is bent, but I haven't had a chance to really look into it. The driver side headlight is a little screwed up, it jiggles around, and was repainted with what looks like the "dump a can of paint on it" method. It'll get some much needed TLC next week over spring break.

Good Deal Dan! My brother's ex-wife had a soft top and he could only drive it with the top down because his head went past the WS. He said his eyes were even with the WS Trim and visor

Have fun with it, I bet it gets good MPG too
