Wow, did not expect to see AC Delco to perform so poorly. Actually, my Avalanche is running one right now, the dealer changed the oil when I bought it. :ohnoes: Good to see the Amsoil filter near the top and NAPA Gold filters in the top half, though.

I'm also surprised at the AC Delco, that's mainly all I ran on my Sierra because it ticked on Mobil 1 filters for some reason. Also, glad someone did this again, that last oil filter analysis circulating the net was getting pretty old.

From looking, I'd agree.

Also, the site is very new. There's 62 threads and 315 posts with 31 members.

Gee, and look at the newest member......Black02Silverado.......TRAITOR!!! :jester:

I might have to sign up just because he's done a lot of work on a '96 C1500 (or so he says in the About Us section).

Interesting test. After I burn through my case of Donaldson filters, I will likely go back to the M1 and K&Ns I used to always run. I can't find any RP around here.

Who knows? Nick might tip me over to the Amsoil way of life!

He's on GMT-400 aswell. He has a whipple-charged LS motor with a 6 speed in his 96.

It does appear that this guy took his filter testing pretty seriously.
