Found this video out on YouTube and it’s titled “Whoooaaaa.” After you see the video clip you’ll realize why. The poster of the video calls himself “Power Mad Racing” and after a little digging we realized that the driver of this car was actually Dave French, a man we’ve covered previously here along with his Camaro.
The video stated that this was the first furn for 2011. We’re guessing he’s happy he and the Camaro survived to get a second run. His approach to the burnout box appears to be completely normal, and really the only thing odd about the run is that about a quarter of a way down the track the Camaro snaps hard to the left after getting just a smidge squirrely. Out best guess is that he either broke something, hit a slick patch, or both. He leapt the divider and landed in the left hand lane which was, thankfully, empty as he was doing a run by himself only. He got everything straightened out when the Camaro was just inches off of the left hand wall.
All in all, not too bad for the first run of 2011. Let’s just hope for Dave’s sake that they only get easier and faster from here!
