I'm really happy with the 17's I just bought. I am planning on removing my street scene mirrors and getting my factory ones painted. Possibly getting some 03 tails, ie already got a buyer for the led black ones I have.

So I'm making changes. Getting the truck functional again. I put the overloads back in the rear, cranked the torsion bars back up the inch that I had decranked em, and was able to get the truck in alignment specs again. ;)

I've got these 22's with low mileage tires sitting in the bedroom. I planned on keeping them for a later date, cause I'd hate to see them go. But if I sold, I'd probably ask $1300 firm. With that money, I could buy a complete gear set for the back $600ish (it needs it) an optima battery $180-200ish (been wanting one) and whatever else I thought I wanted.

Hell, for that matter I could buy 4.56 gears for the from AND back (trutrac) for around $900, and them still buy my optima. The truck needs gears in the rear already, the pinion or ring gears or both has chips on the teeth and they clank and grind on the road. But I figured if I was going to buy gears, why not step up from 3:73 to trutrac 4:56 and never worry about it again?

Thoughts? I just hate to sell my wheels!!!!:tmc:

Thats a tuff one. I say sell and get the front and rear gears and whatever else you need/want.

Sell.

Those are definitely nice LED tails, but they're just too dark. If you can get your money back (or close to it), I'd sell.

Why go all the way to 4.56? Why not some 4.10's?

I sooo want a TruTrac!

Wife doesnt want 22's on her suburban. Besides, I don't have a grand to spend on tires big enough to make it look right on a tall suburban.

No way I could get my money back on the tails. They are recon LEDs, one of the best brands, $300. I might be able to get $100 from my buddy if I give him the led 3rd brake light too. I went black because they look good, and because the LEDs are bright as ever. Just don't think they look awesome anymore with stock wheels.

The mirrors were $300 too, and then I had to get them painted. They are heated and power. I'd ask $100 for them too.

There isn't a whole lot of difference between 3:73 and 4.10. Ive heard It's not really worth the swap. There are so many people running 4.56's on pt.net who say they increases their performance so much. A buddy put them in his silverado and he couldn't believe how much they helped. Took 3 tenths off his e.t.

To loose $200 on the tails (plus the cost of the 3rd) AND on the mirrors, I'd keep 'em no matter what.
