Don't know why they didn't TT the 5.0 right off the bat instead of a 6. Only 16/22 MPG's out of 6 cylinder is the reason why they turn me off so much.

I was hoping for better #'s, regardless of what it's going in.. If it can't produce better improvements in that application, how will it do much better (improvement-wise) in applications for the Edge, etc..?![]()


Honestly Michael... MPG has not been a main thrust of the car biz for a long time. As you know, product design cycles are sometimes many years in the works. They are scrambling right now for sure, but real results are probably a few years away.
A 4 cylinder Subaru Wagon gets a whopping 20 mpg real world according to owner reports... even less over on Fueleconomy.gov.


The owner reports I am talking about are real world averages with mixed driving. No doubt they can be beaten on an all highway trip.
