This is probably over-generalizing, but the Lincoln trucks are to the F-150 what the Escalade EXT is to the Chevy Avalanche.. Roughly the same, dolled-up some, more available options, with a bigger price tag..
The Lincoln Blackwood was a nice truck, but it didnt change the fact that it was a supercrew F150 with leather interior and a fancy bed so it failed.
Ford didnt learn their lesson and decided the new body style would make the Lincoln LT a huge hit, no such luck!
At least the blackwood had the dohc only found in the Navigator but the Mark LT ran the exact same engine as the F150. Ford finally decided it was not worth bringing back when they updated the styling in 09. However, they did find a market for it in Mexico so they made a very ugly Lincoln truck for the 10 model year.
