I'm now on Medicare,officially old.
This happened last thursday evening while wifey,daughter and her kids were gonna get a bite to eat.They just got thru a major intersection here in town when they heard a loud bang and the diff. locked up.There was enough momentum to get into the driveway going to Lowe's.We called AAA and they sent a wrecker with a hook out....need a flatbed cuz the rear wheels don't rotate.They said none available...so we're stuck(I'm there by now).We called a neighbor who works for a towing co. and was working that nite.So,$67.00 later the Expedition was sitting in front of a friends house(no room at my place,remember I live in a mobile home park).So today we rent a trailer from U-Haul,go get the damn thing,get it up on the trailer,get a good look at the diff.,here is what I see....

Keep in mind I'm feeling like shit(last thur. after work) and all I wanna do is get home and go to bed.Feeling much better today
I've talked to a mechanic who works for one of the biggest tire sales & repair shops(we deliver parts to them) here and he'll do the work,I'll order the parts tomorrow from my boss.
The nice thing is it's AWD,so it'll move under it's own power,lucky for us
