After towing a boat last week that weighed probably 7k I was a little disappointed in my truck :(, now my uncle's Duramax that I wanted to buy would be just right! He wanted 28,000 for it though. There was no way in hell I could afford that :crybaby: I do that kind of towing "Maybe" once a year though.

So yeah Matt I understand why you wouldn't need a CTD

The 1500 Sports are nice.

If i go 2500 it'll be gas too... getting gas doesn't limit you to 1500s :D2

Probably Not, He sold the excursion instead. He has some horses so he gets hay bales quite often. Only other car/suv they have is a Suzuki Sidekick for towing behind the RV

Plus its a 1500 series.

I think i've got my sights set on a 2500 CCSB. Depending on prices at the time and whether im going used or new, the highest end model i'll be looking at is a TRX4. Don't want too many bells & whistles in my next one... keep the interior a bit more basic.

That Outdoorsman package is basically a new designation for the TRX4. New graphics and shuffled a few options around, but it is the same.

Join me and go with a Ram man

If i can find one in my range new i'll be all over it in Jan.

Rams probably have a slightly higher sticker price than Chevies (MAYBE), but they generally have bigger discounts and dealers will come down more on them. It sounds like it is pretty common for folks to get $8-10k off sticker without too much hassle. If you find a left-over 2010, that should be the low end of the discounts.

Have you looked at the power wagons? If your gonna go with a 2500 gasser that's the way I'd go.
