I've been out of the audio game waaaaaay too long. (well, only about 7-8 years). I've installed plenty of stereos and sound systems so I know what i'm doing... but i haven't shopped for a head unit since before my silverado.

I'd like to get my wife a head unit that either has a bluetooth adapter option, or better yet built in bluetooth so i don't have to add any buttons to the dash. Auxillary or USB inputs would be cool too...

Any recommendations? Not getting fancy with speakers or anything. I just figured that instead of spending $300+ to add uConnect to her Jeep we might as well spend that on an aftermarket unit that'll probably work better

Figured i have some time... when's mothers day again? :dunno: I gotta remember to save these ideas for special days like that :naughty:

Thanks man.

I'll have to check that one out

I have this one in my truck (the non-bluetooth version) and its fantastic, I really don't like single dins that much but its been really great.

Yeah im not a huge fan of single dins either... i'd like to make it look somewhat OEM, but if options are limited i know i can make it look nice with the right installation kit.

^^That's a nice double din. A little more and you can slap a in-dash Navi in there!

That's a cool looking one! I think if it were me though, I would look at some sort of touch screen. It would be easier to navigate all of the functions with a touch screen.

EDIT: What he said:withstupid:

If you're seriously interested in in-dash navi's then Pioneer seems to be the best the market has to offer. I'm planning on adding a Pioneer AVIC X710 to my wife's Altima at the beginning of 2011. The Pioneer website has the MSRP of their units rather high. I can pick up the X710 up right now at a local stereo shop for $549 yet they have it listed for $999. Even at $549 it's cheaper then what Nissan wanted for a navi system. I think they wanted an extra $1400 or so.

 DO IT! :naughty:
