I thought the whole point of GM keeping the GMC nameplate was to make it their luxury trucks while Chevy would stay the "meat and potatoes" brand. Seems like they just continually kick themselves in the rear, no matter how many chances they get.

Me neither, I am certain it was a Scottsdale dad had in '76. I had always thought it had all options at the time, since he ordered when he was a mechanic at the Chevrolet house. But hell that was a long time ago.

But badge engineering can only get you so far. They need to be spending their money on NEW product development, not warmed over seconds IMHO.
