New DD-New paint ideas

Well I have a 85 silverado 3/4 ton that I just finished building a motor for, and I'm swapping it for my dads 84 silverado short wide. His also has a new motor, with a cam and it runs real good.

His truck is no where near as nice as mine but its got lots of potential. Reason I'm trading him is because he doesnt have the money to make it nice, and the interior on mine is perfect, plus it has cold A/C....I can fix all that in his for me. I had my bodyman weld in some new panels and smooth em over a few months back for dads b-day, and also I bought him a belltech 2/4" drop kit AND replaced ALL tierods, balljoints etc.

So the truck is close to being real nice.

It needs a paintjob though, and my bodyman said for $400 he'd go over the whole truck, remove all scratches and dings, and get it in primer ready to paint. The truck isnt rusted out anywhere. My painter will owe me work (by that time) and will paint the truck for basically free, and my other buddy is a window man, and is going to remove the front and rear windows for paint, then install a new windshield and the old back glass. Then I'll have tint put on....

My question is color. Yes you always see these in red, black, baby blue and the like.....

I know I'll be bashed for this,. but I'm thinking......Pewter. LOL I know its common on todays trucks, but man that thing would look RIGHT on such an old model (IMO).

What do you think? Heres the truck.

I like that brown color in the middle best, but also like red with a big black stripe down it to. But, pewter, from the front, just doesn't seat well with me.

Well thats a 20 yr old front clip lol, new shiny pewter would look a lot better.

White. White. White.

Nice chrome wheels and a slick white paint job would look bad-ass on that thing.

Those trucks look fantastic in a light charcoal grey metallic.

Not the best example, but all I could find right away.

WHite is overdone around here. The problem with chrome wheels is that you have to buy a really wide wheel to fill that wheel well, old trucks with the newer style 20's look plain retarded.

I'm looking for something not common......SIlver birch sounds likr it would really look nice

Without all that bullshit and those wheels, I agree, that color would look great.
