Well it has been a pretty busy week since I returned from my work trip. I have been getting a few new things on the bike and getting ready for a double header race weekend. So far this year I am 2 for 2 in final rounds and have a good points lead. This weekend will be a tough one. A lot of new racers have been entering my class and getting awfully close to catching me. So the wife and I will be camping at the track all weekend and I am hoping for 2 more wins on the season with 2 races left after that. I am getting excited for it. Also if I win these 2 races this weekend I will set a track record for most consecutive wins in a span of 5 years at 28. Old one is 27.

Well everyone I am back from a hell of a weekend of racing. It was very hot and humid the whole weekend. So lets start with qualifying. I qualified #1 for the weekend, that was good. Saturdays race was 8 rounds of hell running in the heat. But the bike held up better then I did. I was beat at the end of the day. But it made it better when I got to the final round and pulled a .002 reaction on the tree and ran the numbers with a 1.60 60' and took the win from the other guy. :) So that tied me with the most consecutive wins in a 5 year period with 27. Sunday morning came and I was up ready to go. Day wasn't as bad as sat but still pretty hot. Had 6 rounds this day as a few riders left cuz of the heat. So once again went to the finals, bike was running great all day. Finals came around and I was lined up against the #2 qualifier. Once again I cut a good light on the tree, .003 reaction time. Then about 30 feet out started to spin the tire. Got it to hook up again and ran him down but it was not enough. :( Lost my first race by 0.017. So I only tied the consecutive streak record at 27. But I have a lead of 22 points over second place with 2 races left. So it wasn't a bad weekend after all.
