So how do you guys stop it? do you cut it out? I really want to get rid of it before I paint the bed on my truck.

I saw the POR-15 or whatever it is, is it worth it?

A buddy of mine buffs away the rust underneath and sprays bedliner spray on it.

I have read of POR-15 working well, we use a product called Ospho. Follow the link, I think you may be able to get it at the hardware stores. It neutralizes the rust and turns it to a black looking finish. Ideally you would want to cut it out but that's not always practical. Do some reading on the Ospho and/or POR-15.

20 + years of working on ships I have used hundreds of gallons of Ospho. It's good stuff.
