so much for a four wheeler. but there is no reverse and it revs to like 4000 rpm then shifts and if i step on it nothing at all just revs up.. the t case has just been making a sound when i drive like chaa chaa chaa chaa in 2wd so we looked at at the shop and i was told by my buddies dad it was the chain in the case

That sounds like the front pump has gone out. I know it sucks but you'll get it fixed up and then it'll be trouble free for another 100K+ miles.

I would just get that one rebuilt. Some of these nuts will tell you to get a built trans from a performance outfit, but I don't see you modding it to that point. Ask around and find a reliable shop with a good track record and have them rebuild yours.

Well i was actually thinking about if its out maybe beefing it up with some racing tranny parts but what do you think?

Well I guess it all depends on what your future plans are with the truck. I wouldn't spend a ton on something that you may trade off later on. If you plan on modding the engine and going that route then by all means beef it up. Talk with Mcdiver, he should know some quality shops in your area.
