Sweet project  that thing will look sick low.

Thanks. It's killing me to stare at a brand new, complete drop, and wheels. sitting in my garage!
How much of a drop is it going to get and what wheels? or is that

5/8 with a 16" Alcoa style wheel, and factory (chrome) center caps.

Truck looks great Gregg. It has come a ways since you got it.

Have you put on any of the new fenders?

Slightly random question: when you lower a heavy-duty truck, do you need extra leaf springs or something to keep it from sagging too low when a load is put in/on it?

Bodywork will begin shortly.

To do an 8" drop in the rear, you have to remove the overload leaf, and stops on the frame. the axle gets relocated to the top of the spring pack, and the overload spring is on top of the pack, and basically resting on the stops. If you wish to maintain heavy load capabilty, you need helper bags.
I also have a 5000lb helper bag, and onboard compressor setup to add as well.

Thanks for the info.
I'll probably never drop, not my cup of tea, but good to know.

I guess if you lower that far, you have short suspension travel and also a pretty stiff ride too.
