I have an old one that has two jaws on it. Been using it for years with no problems, that one should be good if you're planning on getting it.

I just use an oil filter socket that fits the filter.:dunno:

I actually use this handy little tool that's been stuck to my right arm now for 41 years.:D

Honestly, I never owned a filter wrench. :dunno: Every situation I've been in where I couldn't remove it by hand, I either got a big ass pair of channel-lock pliers, or hammered a screwdriver thru the filter. I've always just hand tightened my filters really snug and they come of with a firm grip. Especially the Purolator pureOnes I been using with the textured grippy suface. But the Amsoil filters are smooth as shit, no grip on them at all. I was just wondering if I'd need a filter wrench to get them off if I continue using them. :confused:
