ok.. so the guy that owned this truck before me... put new marker lights on it.. but i guess he didnt feel like or couldnt run the wires and bulbs to each individual hole in the roof...AND just left the wires hanging never hooked up... so i had to connect them into the lighting system..... so i thunk it up.. with my redneck engineering.. and came up with this... take 1 BIG ASS zip tie... and get 1 SMALL ASS zip tie...take the bulb/socket thats at the end of the wiring... and zip tie it to the big zip tie. Then push the big zip tie through the first hole to the second hole... and grab the zip tie once its to the 2nd hole.. and pull it up and out.. and pull all the other socket with it as well.... then repeat.. i know it sounds simple and dumb... but it got me the job done!! and was easy. heres a couple pics.. had to cut the rubber bottom pieces too. I just cut a cross in the space where the socket comes through. just a reference to anyone doing this in the future... its right here.. no thinkin required!!

Nice trick! I remember running my 4ga thru the firewall and haveing totape the wire to the end of a screw driver so I could push it thru haha. Injanuity(however you spell it) at its finest

Good info. Once it warms up here in the great state f Missouri, I will be installing some led marker lights across the roof of my truck. Is there a power source up there in the over head console for getting power for them?

Thanks, Eggman

I can't say for sure on every model but on most of the ones I've installed cab lights on the harness was already up there. A few it wasn't but it's not too hard to get power up there if you already have the headliner down.

I was hoping for something easy. Is the harness something that is easy to see when the headliner is down?

And I have another question for any one.......Why is the three center lights closer together than the outside ones?

:dunno:
