I am getting ready to install my GM towing mirrors. I am considering having them painted to match. Not the entire assy, but just the black covers all the way to where the extension begins. So, the mount, swivel, and part of the arm will still be black. Somewhat like the painted caps are on the LTZ mirrors.

What do you all think? Just leave them black?

I think the tow mirrors look better all black, myself...

But I've never seen 'em painted...

Get better pics and different angles and photoshop it :D

If you gonna paint 'em, paint the whole thing IMO.

Oh, do it!

I just think it would look weird when they are extended. So if I just paint them right to that line, they would still look okay even when extended.

I could get some images of them if somebody could do that for me...

I say leave it black then. Having half of those "ribs" white and half black would look awkward IMO.

I can probably give the photoshopping a shot if you post up some pics sometimes

The ribs and all would be white, Scott. All the way to the vertical parting line where the extension starts. The little part that is on the hinge itself would stay black.

Here's a quick hack job.

All white, or FAIL, IMO.
