Ordered some severe gear 75w-90 for it.

It came yesterday. Now all I need is the weather to cooperate with me so I can get it swapped out. I'm just glad there's a drain plug on the rear diff.

Yeah, that drain plug makes it really nice.

Yes it does and you don't have to worry about leaks when you put it back together.

Washed up the '77 and put in some fuel stabilizer to get it ready for some sitting over the winter time. Also did some minor things to the '91 dually.

I changed the gear oil with Amsoil Severe Gear 75w-90. The stuff I took out still looked pretty clean. I just can't stand that smell.

I put in a couple bottles of that new upper cylinder lubricant from Amsoil. I know I'm not going to be using it with every tank of gas like they suggest, but might consider using it once a month.

Better you change it while it's still clean than after it gets burnt, and swampy! [emoji23]
