What are some of the heights I could go? I don't want it too high though.

Will that effect my nerf bars when they lift it?

Which should I do first leveling it or lifting it?

I would just level it. You have to go 6" or more to clear bigger tires than you can with just a level.

With those 33" Nittos, a level and some nice wheels would be just the thing.

Thanks!

I forgot that I need to wait awhile since I don't want to void my warranty too. I keep forgetting about that.

I have leveled every single GM I have had since 1996. They won't bust your chops for it.

Like Scott says, I'd just level it if I were going to do anything.

Have you guys heard anything bad about Pep Shop boys?

I know that most of you do work on your own trucks. Considering I am a girl and can't do all that maintenance on my truck I want to be able to get a cheap price for someone to install the level which I am going to buy from Rough Country. Found one for 50.00 bucks online that is a 2" for my truck.

Someone on the GM site mentioned Wheel Works install it but I called them and they do not do that. Pep Boys does install levels, lifts and lowering trucks. Just wondering if you have heard anything bad or good about Pep Boys. I would love to find a local shop in my hometown to do it for a reasonable price but its not looking too good for me.

Thanks

You'd have to talk to other people in town, when it comes to chains like that... Canadian Tire in my city is horrible, but in other places it's good, lol.

I don't think the dealer will not honor your warranty for a leveling kit. But be prepared to replace your ball joints at about 50K miles. I can't speak for the new trucks, but the GMT900s hated leveling kits. My truck has gone through 1 complete replacement and another single replacement and it only has 85K miles on it.

I'd still do it though, it's worth it.

K2xx front end components and geometry is damn near (if not completely) identical to the GMT-900 so I would assume same issues. As said though...still worth it!
