'02 Chevy silvy, the passenger window motor is making noise, and it takes forever for it to roll up. Any ideas as to the problem? I took the door apart yesterday and rolled the window up and down a few times, and the motor got pretty hot.

I was going to take the motor off, but there was a lot of force behind it when there was one bolt holding it, and I didn't want the thing to come flying apart when that last bolt came out.

You betcha
Everyone has that issue with the aging GMT800's. Mine "intermittently" can take forever to go up.
You can try some silicone spray on the rails and see how that goes.

Was your actual motor damaged or just the cable? If not, do you still have the motor?
