Dan, serious, honest question for you.

If you could buy a new C7 (assuming you wanted one) and had a choice between the LT1 offered and an LS3 which would you choose?

LS3: 436 hp, no AFM, no GDI, no VVT (much easier to mod with a nice cam). Bulletproof, proven engine...one of the best LS engines ever (oil leaks aside )

LT1: 460 hp, AFM (puke), GDI and VVT (much costlier to cam)

virtually same FE (not that anyone cares about 1 mpg when buying a high powered sports car anyway).

There is something about it that I like. :dunno:
I bet it'd look good black. :D
I do like the looks of 2015 a lot better though.

DI engines are here to stay. The major issue is our shitty fuel quality. If that was improved then carbon build up would be less of an issue.

Mazda has a new idea on engine design with their Skyactiv@ technology. They are running a higher compression. The major downfall that is happening with their engines and in most DI engines is fuel dilution in the oil. Seeing it increase in all the UOA's. So now the oil manufactures need to improve their oil formulas to create a better ring seal to help with this issue.

Fuel quality has very little to do with it. The fuel never passes by the intake valves, there is no valve washdown.

:lurk: Can't wait for Jeff to start as the new Director of Engine Development at GM. Cause apparently the hundreds and hundreds of engineers at GM are just a bunch of dumbasses. :troll:

The engineers are fully aware of the issues.

Are you denying there are issues with GDI Carl?

Maybe do some research on it yourself before making dumbass comments and troll accusations. Just sayin'

Not sure, I have a feeling since the Car Craft show moved to WI and is the same weekend that would draw the bigger crowd. Sucks for the MN guys.
