I don't think you can go wrong. A guy in my neighborhood has basically the same truck. I drool every time I drive buy. The builder I am most likely going to use for my house has a 2500 HD high country diesel in white. I freaking love it. We hit it off from the start.

Why waste wrap on places other than where cables splice into the harness or worry about some unpainted metal with a little surface rust? Every brand I've looked at has shit like that, just maybe not as obvious.

I don't see it as a quality issue at all. It wouldn't be there if it wasn't for the fuggin government, epa and environmental rejects. It's part of the EGR and most people remove it anyways!
