DL3 Mirror Mod?

Has anyone found a way to do this?

I know about the manual switch but it seems this person had figured out how to avoid the switch all together.

My DL8's can be swapped for DL3's it's just without all the factory wiring and switches($800-1000.00) and a flash from the dealer you have to do something like this.

I did that on my own truck. I have a 2001 Suburban and I added DL3 power folding turn signal mirrors from a 06 Truck. To wire them up, you need two 5 pin relays and two PAC TR-7 pulse modules. Depending on how you want to trigger the mirrors to fold and unfold, is how you program the modules. I have mine programmed to operate with one pulse, and they are triggered by the lock and unlock pulses on my Autopage alarm. They fold in when I arm the alarm, and unfold with disarm. You can also wire this to a stock keyless entry and program it for two or three pulses. Then just press the lock button twice to fold them in, and unlock twice to unfold them, or just have them automatically unfold on unlock.

Sounds easy enough. What would you tap into on a 2013 with factory remote start. From the headlight switch? I only assume because the lights react the same as the mirrors in the video.

I would use the door locks to trigger it. Program the PAC timer module for two pulses, and then when you press the unlock button twice, the mirrors will unfold. For folding them in, you could use the horn. But it would be wise to add another relay on that horn trigger wire where it connects to the timer module. Wire the relay to interrupt the trigger when the ignition is on. That way if you tap your horn while driving, it won't inadvertently fold in the mirrors.

Way over my head because it sounds like one slip up and your screwed. I think I will just pay someone to do it if they know how.

^^^^ Yes sir. If I had the diagram and maybe some photos I have a friend who does electrical repair on vehicles but he said he's never seen this mod. He mainly does stereos.
