This should be interesting. I've been disappointed with how Ford handled the MT-82 transmission issues the 2011 and 2012 Mustangs have had and due to that, it has made me a bit hesitant to want to jump into another Ford. The longevity of the Ecoboost engines has always been a concern of mine though this is more of a potential design issue - not longevity. This will get interesting (or probably swept under the rug...).

From what I read on other sites, the intercooler was condensing moisture on the inside and that was getting sucked into the engine causing issues. Basically it seemed to be doing it's job too well?

Didn't realize it was that widespread of a problem. A quick Google search of Ecoboost CAC, Ecoboost condensation, or something similar seems to turn up tons of posts. Looks like Ford has had a few TSBs with redesigned intercoolers that have helped but nothing has actually fixed it. That Gen V 5.3 sure is looking better and better.

I have a friend with an EcoBoost F150. He loves it. Not sure if he's had any of these issues. No mention if so.

I know several people with EcoBoost F-150's and haven't heard any problems from them. Interesting indeed. Even more so considering I was seriously contemplating purchasing an EB F-150 here within the year! I'll be watching this one closely.

One of my clients with the sick Z06 had one and traded it on a WRX in the same color as the EB.

He would still be driving it if he didn't have all these issues! He generally loved it. Especial since he was coming from a Colorado...
