I noticed this a few weeks ago. I thought it may have been cause by the loading and unloading of kegs. But there are no scratches on the tailgate cap, in those areas.
The inner metal piece of the tailgate is bowing <---all I can think to explain it.
My questions are:
Has anyone ever seen this happen? (I don't think it was caused by anything loading or unloading, as far as I can tell.
)
However it may have happened I need to fix it - How the heck do I get the cap off the tailgate? Does that just snap on and how easy is it to break whatever is holding it on? (The metal has separated. I need to pull the cap, try to straighten it out, then put the cap back on, without breaking it?)
I am at a loss and I refuse to take it to a body shop!
