Dude, look. If you are going to come here and ask every single question without doing any research yourself, at least title threads in a way as to let people know what you are trying to figure out and then write a normal freaking sentence.

"4l60e" is a pretty vague title. "Will the 4L80E be a direct replacement for my4L60E?" gives people a lot better idea as to what you want to know.

Also, Note the capitalization and punctuation. If you want us to take the time to answer your every question, take the time to make shit readable. No one is too busy to use a shift key and a period. No one.

All I ask is that people try.

This is not Google, it's a community of members who are here to help each other - one where the written (typed) English language functions as the main method of communication. If someone can't be bothered to try and type out a reasonable sentence, they don't deserve the community's effort to find and/or provide them with answers, IMO.

I'm not trying to be a dick here, I just think a coherent sentence is a fair price to ask for the information being sought. :dunno:

 :withstupid:

As for the question, I do not know for sure but I believe that it should bolt up since a vehicle can come from the factory with either of them, worst thing is it may need a different bell housing.

I am sure Hungus will come in and tell me I am wrong but that is ok :D2

It should be, but the crossmember under the tranny is different, that has to be modified, maybe driveshaft(?) too.

Here is a LINK to a built 80e install and the crossmember looks like it has to be heavily modified...

Maybe better to back off the 80e and get a built 60e
